Detailed 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Gorilla Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be picked from Kigali International Airport or from your hotel and will be given instructions about the 7 Days Uganda Gorilla Tour Rwanda Wildlife Safari. You will then be transferred by road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, southwestern of Uganda for tracking mountain gorillas.

Day 2 of 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Gorilla Tour: Gorilla tracking

You will assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers after breakfast ahead of gorilla trekking. You will then proceed for gorilla trekking in the forest that may last 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals.

You will meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the evening, you may go for an optional community walk in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their unique culture.

Day 3: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to Akagera National Park in Rwanda. It’s the only National Park where wildlife viewing can be done in Rwanda. You will enjoy a game drive through the park in search of zebras, giraffes, elephants, and many more animals. You will arrive at Akagera game lodge in the afternoon and will rest at the lodge.

Day 4 of 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Gorilla Tour: Game Drive in Akagera National Park

After breakfast, you will start the day with a morning game drive through the park in search of lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Masai Giraffe and many others.

You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat-ride on Lake Ihema. You will enjoy the sundown at the lodge in the evening.

Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred by road to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Nyungwe forest national park is Rwanda’s leading chimpanzee tracking safari destination for primates and birding tours in Rwanda.

This forest, the largest mountain rainforest in all of Africa, hosts 13 species of primates including the Angola colobus found in groups of 300-400 animals that is an attribute unique to Nyungwe. You will enjoy chimpanzee tracking and a canopy walk in the forest.

Day 6 of 7 Days Uganda Rwanda Gorilla Tour: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

After breakfast transfer, you’ll be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about the “dos and don’ts” while with the chimps in the forest.

Your guide will transfer you to the starting point for Chimps tracking. You’ll encounter the chimps and many other primates like the black and white monkeys and various bird species along the trail. You will also enjoy the canopy walk in the forest in the afternoon.

Day 7: Transfer to Kigali City
